October 23, 2016
Only 12 days after its official release, the website of the Latin American Society for the History of Economic Thought (ALAHPE) has already registered 311 visitors, originating from 30 countries (see maps below), which gives us an average 26 daily visits so far! Most visits have originated from Brazil (78), the United States (56), France (38), Spain (21), and Argentina (18). Yet, the website has also been accessed by visitors from countries like Japan (9), the Philippines (3), Turkey (2), New Zealand (1), Australia (1), and Bangladesh (1), thus confirming that interest in our new Society and in the history of economics in Latin America transcends regional frontiers, and making us very optimistic about the future of both ALAHPE and our discipline at large. The help, support, and active collaboration of ALAHPE members are of paramount importance in order to consolidate the place of our society within the community of historians of economics in the world.
